Tria Laser 4X, a cordless hair removal system, is the latest model from Tria Beauty. Cleared by the FDA it can be used on legs, arms, bikini line (hair outside a normal underwear line), underarms, feet, stomach, back, chest, hands, and women's facial hair from the cheek line down.
How it Works? A diode laser uses beams of energy laser target the hair follicles to disable them. It has five adjustable settings from low to high, with the highest setting (five) giving off the most heat. It requires multiple treatments to obtain the best results.
The Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X is about the size of a small hairdryer and it emits a pulsed laser light that heats up the pigment in the hair and kills the hair follicle, so it stops producing hair.
Because our hair goes through three phases of growth, results are not instant and treatments need to be done over a course of time, ideally every two weeks for three months.
The Tria Laser System is the first home-use hair removal devices that had approved by FDA, the other two are Silk'n IPL and Remington IPL I-Light. Most popular hair removal home devices are use IPL technology except Tria which uses diode laser technology to remove unwanted hair and it comes pretty close as salon equivalents.
In recent years, the diode laser has become the superstar of laser hair removal. It is the best overall machine for treating all six skin types based on safety and long term use especially satisfactory to skin types I-IV. IPL is a light therapy and not a traditional laser, it might cause more side effects than laser treatment.
